MOT Test

When an MOT test is carried out on your vehicle it will be checked that it meets the required road safety and environmental standards. *If your vehicle is 3 years or older, then by law you must have your vehicle MOT tested every 12 months. If you fail to have your vehicle MOT tested then it is not legal for you to drive your vehicle on the road.

However, an MOT test does not check the general mechanical condition of your vehicle. If you want a more thorough check completed on your vehicle, then why not book it in for a service. To find out more information please click here.

Your MOT test can be booked up to 1 month before your MOT is due to expire. Your MOT expiry date can be found on your pass certificate. Need to book an MOT test for your vehicle, then why not get in touch!

If your vehicle fails the MOT test, then this means that your vehicle has not met the legal requirement needed to drive on the road. In the event of a fail one of our team will get in contact and explain what your vehicle has failed on and what work needs to be carried out. If you decide to go ahead and have the work carried out then an MOT retest will be completed without any additional charge and we will aim to have your car ready to go the same day.

*In some circumstances you will need to get your vehicle MOT tested when it is 1 year old. If you are unsure of when you need to start having your vehicle MOT tested, then please click here and check the table on the linked page.
